The new PD 6500i is an airport style scanner, It utilises Garrett's exclusive digital signal processor (DSP) -based technology to provide superior target detection coverage on the left, centre and right side of the body from head to toe. Unique 33-zone pinpoint detection assures the ultimate in safety, throughput and reliability with pre-set programmes to cover the most complete range of security applications, including the new Transportation Security Administration's (TSA) Enhanced Metal Detector System required for all U.S. airports. Multi-dimensional coil design detects guns, knives and other flat and rod-shaped weapons regardless of archway location. Zone adjustment enables maximum detection regardless of environmental challenges. Easy-to view eye-level pacing lights with international wait and proceed symbols on the entrance side of each panel. Easy operation with back-lit LCD and LED bar graphs for continuous online operating status and self-diagnostic reporting. Features : A dual access non-resettable code to safeguard calibration settings. An audible alarm to reveal any unauthorised access attempts. Built-in overhead electronics compartment to eliminate the inconvenience of a cable-connected console. Multi-phase frequencies and variable tone settings to facilitate multi-unit operation. PD6500i Instruction Manual

The PD 6500i's Access Control Panel is designed for use by authorized personnel with specific, security codes. It allows authorized users to change settings such as detection Programme and Sensitivity. Security of the detector's settings is maintained with a non-resettable code, which indicates if an attempt has been made to change the settings by an unauthorized user. A tamper alarm sounds within 10 seconds after the Access Touchpad is pressed, unless the access code is entered.

The PD 6500i will retain all settings even when it has been turned off and back on again, this does not require a battery. While the unit is in operation, a self-test of all systems is performed continuously with any failures or problems immediately reported on the LCD display. Press operate at any time to run a self test on the archway.

• Entry Pacing Lights Smooth, efficient traffic flow with easy-to-view, eye-level pacing lights with easy to understand 'traffic light' system to maximise throughput.
• Overhead Control Unit The PD6500i has LCD Display, alarm lights, LED bar graphs and control touchpads plus all wiring, connections and electronics integrated into a single lockable overhead compartment which eliminates exposure of wires and external control box.
• Multi-dimesional Coil Design The PD 6500i's exclusive multi-dimensional coil design provides unmatched detection of potentially lethal metal items such as guns, knives and other flat and rod-shaped weapons regardless of location and orientation. The archway metal detector will also pick up mobile phones and other electrical goods in a loss prevention capacity.
• Audible and Visual Alarms Audible alarm and Visual LED lights signal when a target has been detected, showing the user where on the body weapons are concealed.
